I was very active throughout my High School career in the visual arts program. After High School, my creative energies moved toward woodworking and crafting. In the early 2000's I started working with copper wire and soon found myself vending at Renaissance Faires, other local venues, and having my work for sale in local businesses. In 2011, I started painting again, and in 2016 joined a local Art Gallery. I also took part in an Art Forum that provided opportunities to show at local businesses. I continue to show at The New Zone Gallery and enter local open shows. In 2017 I received an Honorable Mention Award at the Springfields Mayor's Art Show.

Artist Statement

"My abstract paintings are about balance, texture, and pattern, while allowing for imperfections to add to the overall impact of the art piece.
I heavily texture my canvases to build depth, creating a painting that just asks to be touched. I work the painting using several techniques to
apply multiple layers of paint. I usually don't plan my paintings, but work them until I achieve that balance in color that simply just makes the
painting "pop".  I find that I enjoy the painting process as much as I enjoy the final painting. To find that final balance in a painting and
have it speak to you, saying "I am done!" is absolutely incredible."
